“I particularly like the fact that LeaseGreen takes care of the work from start to finish and guarantees the agreed savings. And the lifecycle service ensures that the environmental targets and promised savings are met and the systems operate optimally in the long term.”

LeaseGreen designed and implemented an energy renovation at Oilon’s Lahti factory, improving the factory’s ventilation, automation and heat distribution network. In addition, the property was connected to LeaseGreen’s remote optimisation service to ensure that the new technology works as intended.
According to the first follow-up data, the results of the energy renovation have been much better than expected: the property’s gas consumption has been reduced by around 30% and electricity consumption by 18% compared to before. The carbon footprint has been reduced by almost 50 tonnes.
“I am very pleased with the savings. However, the primary objective of the renovation was to improve the conditions of the building and reduce the repair debt, and only secondarily to save energy. More substantial savings can only be expected in the second phase of the energy renovation,” says Tero Tulokas, CEO of Oilon.
The Lahti factory was originally built in 1971 and has been expanded several times since then. Today, the building houses Oilon’s administration, product development unit and the largest incinerator factory. It employs just under 200 people.
With extensions, it is easy for buildings to accumulate building services that no longer work together in the best possible way. The energy renovation carried out by LeaseGreen also reduced this renovation debt.
Oilon’s people have been “extremely satisfied” with the cooperation with LeaseGreen.
