“The experience of our designers and their willingness to find solutions is what sets us apart from other players. In Maunulanmäki, the ground floor can be used, even though the basements were too cramped for piping.”

As Oy Maunulanmäki, built in 1960, switched from district heating to geothermal heating and decided to make use of the available ground heat. At the same time, a heat recovery system was built in the housing companyand the housing company was connected to LeaseGreen’s remote monitoring.
A housing association consisting of three blocks of flats sold the building rights on their plot and decided to use part of the money for cooling, which will improve the quality of living, especially in summer.
The cost of the landfill became attractive when the designers had the idea of using the LTO system’s piping to distribute the cooling fluid during the cooling season, effectively the summer.
“The solution was also influenced by the fact that the basement corridors were too cramped for new piping. Innovative thinking is needed when the basic solutions don’t work,” says Sami Läntinen, LeaseGreen’s Account Director.
The distribution of cooling power from the top via LTO piping also requires automation solutions that are different from the norm.
