The Board of the Green Building Council Finland (FIGBC) has accepted LeaseGreen as a member of the organisation. FIGBC is Finland’s largest cooperation network promoting a sustainable built environment.
“LeaseGreen has changed the perception of energy renovation and together with its customers has achieved significant savings. At the heart of LeaseGreen’s mission is partnership, which is well aligned with the FIGBC’s sustainability-first, together approach. I warmly welcome LeaseGreen to join FIGBC and accelerate the industry’s progress towards carbon neutrality goals,” says Mikko Nousiainen, CEO of FIGBC.
The Green Building Council Finland has around 200 organisations as members and more than 400 professionals on its committees. The organisation promotes low-carbon and circular economy in the real estate and construction sector, for example by organising events and training courses and by collecting and sharing information on best practices in the sector. Its members include property owners, developers, real estate and user service providers, designers and industry. The international GBC network comprises around 70 countries and 36 000 organisations.
“It’s really interesting to sit down with customers, suppliers and competitors to work together. Personally, I would like to have more discussion about life-cycle emissions in buildings. Sometimes it seems that there is too much focus on new construction in the industry, even though trimming existing buildings can achieve much greater emission reductions,” says Thomas Luther.
LeaseGreen is Finland’s leading cleantech service company specialising in energy efficiency and smart solutions for large buildings. On average, energy savings of 24% and a return on investment of 17% have been achieved. More than two hundred sites together have reduced emissions by around 30 000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
Customer satisfaction with LeaseGreen is strong. In the most recent customer satisfaction survey (2020), eight out of ten customers give LeaseGreen an excellent rating for its work, and almost all customers consider it possible that they would choose the company as a partner again. The dissatisfaction rate is 2%.
“More and more customers see LeaseGreen as a pioneer of innovative solutions. That’s great,” says Luther.
