LeaseGreen

LeaseGreen first started in 2013, when founders Tomi Mäkipelto and Juho Rönni noticed a significant gap in the market.

Large sums were invested in energy production plants, even though the expected returns were modest. At the same time, there was no investment in energy efficiency in real estate - even though the potential returns were many times higher. Something was missing.

A player was needed to make energy efficiency investments in buildings technically reliable, financially secure and simple to make decisions about.

The start was fast. LeaseGreen assembled a talented team and packaged the technological solutions into a financed model, with savings covering instalments spread over several years. The model lowered the start-up threshold, delivered immediate savings and brought energy retrofits into the toolbox of every professional property owner.

As the market evolved, LeaseGreen moved to more sophisticated projects and end-to-end service models. In an era of zero interest rates, the importance of off-the-shelf financing packages diminished and the focus shifted to high-quality energy solutions that deliver measurable results - from geothermal heating and heat pumps to ventilation optimisation, heat recovery and automation. In addition to commercial and industrial buildings, we were also able to serve large housing associations, industrial plants, hotels and public buildings.

In recent years, there has been a consensus in the market that energy efficiency and energy self-sufficiency can greatly reduce the future risks of a property. Energy classes directly determine the financial viability of a property, and self-supply provides a hedge against rising energy prices. In addition to direct savings, we help our clients to make their properties Class A buildings well into the future.

Today, LeaseGreen is a full-service department store for energy efficiency in real estate. We carry out the most demanding energy renovations in the country and offer results-oriented advice throughout the lifecycle of property ownership. We guide our customers' energy use towards increasing savings and we also service heating systems on site - because we know that taking care of the little things can lead to big savings.

We have come a long way and grown up in the midst of many changes. Our service models and technical solutions have evolved and diversified, but our main goal has not moved an inch: to always deliver sustainable energy savings for our customers. With extreme ambition, without compromising on conditions.
